Required: Perform the five steps to find out whether there is a significant correlation between job performance and board exam rate among survey respondents. Also, determine whether job performance and board exam results differ according to gender

Statement of the Problem
1. What is the level of the job performance of the employees?
2. What is the board exam rate of the employees?
3. Is there a significant relationship between job performance and board exam
         rate?
4. What is the level of the job performance of female?
5. What is the level of the job performance of male?
6. Is there a significant difference in the level of job performance between male
        and female?
7. What is the board exam rate of female?
8. What is the board exam rate of the male?
9. Is there a significant difference in the board exam rate between male and
          female?

Hypothesis
Null: There is no significant relationship between job performance and board
           exam rate
Alternative: There is a significant relationship between job performance and
           board exam rate

Null: There is no significant difference in the level of job performance between
          male and female
Alternative: There is a significant difference in the level of job performance
         between male and female

       Null: There is no significant difference in the board exam rate between male and
               female
       Alternative: There is a significant difference in the board exam rate between
               male and female

Interpretation

alt="Correlation Result"
 This table shows that there a high level of relationship between job performance and board exam rate among respondents at (.000) sig. (2-tailed) value; and magnitude of .935 which is very high based on the following scale:

alt="Magnitude of Relationship"

Further, the data implies that the higher the Board exam rate, the higher the job performance of the respondents.

alt="Job Performance and Board Exam Rate"

This table shows that the job performance of male is higher than the female at 90.00 and 88.20 respectively. On the aspect of Board Exam Rate, the table implies that the female respondents have higher rates compared to males at the value of 86.20 as against 85.80.

alt="Sample Correlation Interpretation of SPSS Results"

The table shows that there is no significant difference in job performance and board exam rates when analyzed according to gender at sig. (2-tailed) value of .685 and .923 as illustrated by the table.  Therefore, the result implies that job performance and board exam rate is not determined by gender.

  1. Thanks for clear analysis of correlation case but I am confused about your null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis. Two hypothesis are same here. so please clear me about this matter.
    Thanks
